can i use “Fender acoustic strings” on my electric Fender Guitar? just the high E string?

i just bought a telecaster squire, and im used to acoustic guitars.. i snapped out the 1st string
and ive got a fender custome light acoustic strings set, the high e string is ’11

if i used it on my tele, is it gonna sound awful?
i would buy a new electric strings set but theres only one guitar shop in my town and it doesn’t have such!!

If your acoustic string is steel it will work. Usually on acoustics the 3 bass strings are bronze wound (not steel) and those will not work. But the 3 treble strings are usually steel. Won’t hurt anything to try it.

You can buy single strings at Music123.com. I usually keep some extra high E and B strings. Those are the ones I break most often.
